Forum Regulations
Please read and understand the following information before posting. Thank you.
Moderators are available to keep the forums running smoothly. To make our job easier, we ask that you follow a few common sense rules. Below are these rules for this forum, please read them carefully before posting:
- No strong language (swearing) is to be used at any time.
- Posts must be relevant to the thread they're in.
- Hijacking threads is off limits.
- Rank/post spamming is not permitted.
- Spelling and grammar should be good enough that people don't have to decode it.
- If you're PMed by a moderator regarding inappropriate behaviour, you must take the warning seriously, or risk getting banned.
- No profane or unethical posts, pictures or links. Failure to comply is an automatic ban.
- Don't take matters into your own hands, report any issue to a moderator.
- Do not purposely try and remove members from the site, this may include advertising other forums.
- No personal attacks or threads which knowingly will start conflicts.
- Do not defame people, whether they be members or not.
- Use common sense at all times.
- Don't post links to warez, CD keys or any other illegal software/methods. Anything that is considered illegal must not be associated with the forums in any way.
- Do not alter the functionality of the site.
- Do not post personal information (including PMs) of others in the forums without permission.
- No bumping of old threads, start a new thread instead.
- No cross-posting of the same thread, making two threads of the same thing will get BOTH deleted.
- Don't upload and use offensive avatars.
- If you post content from another website, add a link so we know where it's from.
- Do not advertise commercial websites or products on the forum.
- Use descriptive thread titles.
- Respect other forum members, their opinion is also valid.
- If you don't like someones opinion or the person themselves, just ignore them.
- Abuse via posts or PM to another member will get you banned.
- If you link to something that is only suitable to adults (high violence etc.) you MUST warn people by informing them in the same post. A 'NSFW' (not safe for work) tag is also recommended.
- Do not impersonate another user unless you wish to be banned.
- Never refute an administrator or moderator decision. PM the moderator/administrator if you have any issues.
Posting Guidelines
- All threads must have a purpose, do not make them because you're bored.
- The OP (original post) or thread starter must have sufficient content. Merely posting a link and saying how cool it is will not cut it - you should describe the link and put forward your opinions. After all, a forum is meant for discussion.
- When replying to a post you must provide some content. This can be anything, as long as it's not 'hehe', 'cool' and other generic internet jargon (this includes smilies with no accompanying text). An example may be "That was awesome. I like the way this shows this."
- Thread titles should be descriptive and succinct. Describe the issue in the OP, not the title. The title should be a very short summary of the issue, or in the case of off-topic topics, the title can be quirky and attractive.
- Don't spam the forums with one line generic comments. Generally, if you think your comment is boring or useless, so will most others.
- Spelling and grammar must be decent. Use capitals where needed, and put some effort into general grammar. If you can't spell, Firefox has an inbuilt spell checker.
- This forum will only help people who help themselves. Research your question before posting, don't be lazy. If you can't find a solution, then you can ask here.
Repeatedly breaking any of these rules will result in a ban. If you have any suggestions or comments regarding these rules, PM a moderator.
